The LY-3007 is LYSCHY's 3-in-1 technology fabric motorcycle jacket — the fabric itself is the waterproof and windproof layer, rated at 8000 MMH₂O with a breathability index of 9000 m³/24h. Unlike the mesh-shell LY-803, the LY-3007 uses a solid-face stretch slim fabric that can be worn alone or combined with a motocross rally suit. The 7-piece CE armor set is the most detailed in the range: shoulder and elbow pads are CE Level 2 (EN 1621-1:2012), chest pads are CE Level 1 (EN 1621-3), and back pad is CE Level 1 (EN 1621-2). Black only, M to 5XL, approximately 1.9kg. Seam-stitching caveat: stitching is not press-glued — some water penetration at seams may occur on extended rides.
- 3-in-1 technology fabric — the shell IS the waterproof membrane, not a separate lining: Unlike the LY-803 which has a breathable mesh outer plus a separate inner waterproof membrane, the LY-3007's 3-in-1 fabric is a single laminated structure where the outer face, the waterproof/windproof barrier, and the inner comfort layer are bonded together into one panel. This means the waterproof and windproof function operates at the fabric's outer surface — water beads and runs off rather than passing through to an inner membrane. The result is a more responsive waterproof feel and better cold-wind blocking than a mesh outer system. The trade-off vs the LY-803 is reduced ventilation — the solid-face stretch fabric provides breathability through fibre moisture-vapour transmission rather than physical apertures.
- CE Level 2 shoulders and elbows — explicitly stated, highest CE limb standard: The certification table in the product imagery confirms: Shoulder Pads ×2 = S-TYPE A, EN 1621-1:2012, Level 2. Elbow Pads ×2 = S-TYPE A, EN 1621-1:2012, Level 2. CE Level 2 means transmitted force ≤20kN average — the higher standard (Level 1 = ≤35kN). This is unusually specific for this price bracket and makes the LY-3007 directly comparable against premium riding jackets on limb protection. The chest (EN 1621-3, Level 1) and back (EN 1621-2, Level 1) pads are at Level 1 — sufficient for street use but note that Level 2 back protectors exist and offer higher spinal protection for track or off-road use.
- Seam stitching caveat — water ingress at joins on extended rides: The product imagery explicitly states: "The stitching is not press-glued, so there may be a little penetration at the stitching after a long time of riding." This is an honest manufacturer disclosure. On standard waterproof jackets, seams are either taped (seam tape bonded over the inside of every stitch line) or welded (no stitching at all). The LY-3007 uses standard stitching without seam tape — each needle hole is a potential water ingress point. In light to moderate rain at speed, the fabric's 8000 MMH₂O rating handles the load. - LY-3007 vs LY-803 — same brand, fundamentally different jacket: The LY-803 is a summer-primary breathable mesh jacket — maximum ventilation, no waterproofing at the outer shell, 5-piece CE armor (no chest, no Level 2 pads), YKK zippers. The LY-3007 is an all-season jacket — 3-in-1 solid-face fabric, 8000 MMH₂O waterproof, 7-piece CE armor including chest pads, Level 2 limb certification, stretch slim fit. The LY-3007 is the better cold-weather and wet-weather option; the LY-803 is the better hot-weather ventilation option. For year-round single-jacket use, the LY-3007 covers more conditions. For dedicated summer riding in heat, the LY-803's mesh ventilation is more effective.
- Size chart plateau at 4XL/5XL — sleeve length does not increase: The size chart shows Sleeve Length at 67.5cm for both 4XL and 5XL. Back Length continues scaling (74.5cm at 3XL, 75.2cm at 4XL, 75.9cm at 5XL) but sleeve length stops at 4XL. Bust continues to scale (124cm at 4XL, 128cm at 5XL). For taller riders in 5XL who have longer arms, confirm sleeve length with the seller — the 5XL may be wide enough but the sleeve may be too short. Tolerance is stated at 1–3cm, wider than the LY-803's 1–2cm, reflecting the larger size range.
