The MC-2111 is a full-body motorcycle rain suit — jacket and pants sold as a matched set — designed to be worn over riding gear rather than replacing it. Sized generously for layering: jacket chest starts at 120cm (M), trouser waist adjusts across a 32cm range per size. Key design points not found on basic rain covers: a double placket at the chest zip to block water entry; anti-scald trouser panels that resist high-temperature exhaust pipe contact; a one-piece crotch cut to prevent ride-up during extended seated riding; and hidden back vents for condensation management. Dry clean at 30°C only — not machine washable.
- Over-gear sizing — jacket chest starts at 120cm at M: The MC-2111 is sized to be worn over existing motorcycle gear. The jacket's M chest circumference is 120cm — this is wider than most body-fitting jackets (a standard M riding jacket fits approximately 100–104cm chest). If you wear a standard M riding jacket underneath, choose M in this rain suit. If you wear a thick winter jacket underneath, choose one size up. The trouser waist ranges 60–92cm at M through 72–106cm at XXL — the 32cm adjustment range accommodates both slim and bulkier riding trousers beneath.
- Double placket — the primary defence against chest zip water ingress: A standard waterproof zip has needle holes from stitching and a mechanical gap between the zipper teeth when the slider is under pressure from movement. A double placket adds a second folded fabric layer that lies over the zip from the inside or outside, covering these ingress points. In heavy rain with a single-layer placket, water penetrates at the zip under sustained pressure and rider movement. The MC-2111's double placket is specifically noted as preventing chest seepage — the main ingress failure point of cheaper rain suits in storm conditions.
- Anti-scald trousers — exhaust pipe heat protection: The trouser's inner-leg panels use heat-resistant fabric to resist the radiated and contact heat from motorcycle exhaust pipes. On many motorcycles the exhaust exits below the seat and runs alongside the inner calf — thin fabric rain trousers can melt or char on contact with exhaust pipes at operating temperature (typically 300–600°C at the pipe surface). Anti-scald protection does not mean the trouser will survive prolonged contact — it provides a thermal buffer against incidental contact and radiant heat during normal riding, not sustained exposure. Check the specific heat-resistance rating with the seller if high-exhaust-temperature motorcycles are involved.
- Care — dry clean at 30°C only, not machine washable: The care grid specifies 30°C temperature dry cleaning and explicitly prohibits machine washing. The waterproof coating and polyester carbon fiber structure can be damaged by machine agitation and spin cycles, which stress the fabric bonding and coating adhesion. Wipe the suit clean with a damp cloth after rides. If full cleaning is needed, hand-wash in cold water with mild soap and hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Do not iron — the coating will melt under iron contact. Do not use bleach or ammonia-based detergents.
- Fluorescent Green — reflective logo printing on this colour only: The reflective strips (front, back, sleeves) are present on all three colour variants. The Fluorescent Green version additionally includes reflective logo printing — additional retroreflective surface area beyond the strips. If maximum low-light and night visibility is the priority, the Fluorescent Green variant provides the highest total reflective coverage. The fluorescent (hi-vis) base colour also improves daytime visibility independently of retroreflective performance by returning ambient light across a wide angle rather than returning headlight beams toward their source.
