The KP3 layers four distinct technologies into a single glove: a FAN-TEX waterproof membrane that blocks water ingress at the shell, a 3M sherry cotton and warm velvet inner lining for heat retention, carbon fiber knuckle casing for impact resistance, and a Volar palm suspension layer that absorbs handlebar vibration before it reaches the hand. Touchscreen-compatible fingertips, full finger coverage, and a polyurethane-coated leather outer complete the construction across sizes XS to 2XL.
A dedicated waterproof membrane laminated between the leather outer and the inner lining. FAN-TEX blocks water ingress at the shell while allowing water vapour from the hand to escape outward — preventing both soaking and internal condensation build-up during sustained wet riding.
3M sherry cotton is a heat-storage insulation material — it traps warm air in its fibre structure rather than simply adding bulk. The warm velvet contact layer faces the hand directly, providing a soft surface that doesn't abrade the skin during extended wearing. Together they create a two-layer thermal system inside the waterproof shell.
Hard carbon fiber panels over the knuckle and finger-back zones provide a rigid impact barrier between the hand and road, handlebar, or debris. Carbon fiber's high stiffness-to-weight ratio gives fall-resistant protection without the bulk of traditional hard-shell motorcycle glove armour at equivalent coverage areas.
A suspension layer in the palm area absorbs and dissipates handlebar vibration before it transmits to the hand. On long rides, sustained vibration causes progressive hand fatigue and numbness that reduces grip strength and throttle sensitivity — the Volar suspension layer addresses the cumulative effect rather than only peak impact events.
- Take both measurements — breadth AND girth: Palm breadth (across the back of the hand at its widest) and palm girth (circumference around the palm excluding thumb) can suggest different sizes on the same hand. Measure both, then use the larger resulting size. The sports shoe reference in the chart is a rough crosscheck only — base your selection on the measured dimensions.
- Seal the wrist cuff before riding in rain: The FAN-TEX membrane waterproofs the glove body, but an open wrist cuff creates a direct water channel to the membrane's upper edge. Close the cuff fully and confirm it holds when the arm is extended to the handlebar. In heavy rain, tucking the glove cuff under the jacket sleeve provides a second layer of coverage at this junction.
- Store loosely — do not compress the 3M cotton lining: The insulation's thermal performance depends on the fibre structure remaining lofted. Storing the gloves compressed under heavy items over extended periods mats the cotton fibres permanently, reducing the effective insulation thickness. Store upright or loosely paired to preserve loft between uses.
- Inspect the carbon fiber panel after any impact: Carbon fiber can delaminate internally from a significant impact without showing visible surface cracking. After any fall or high-force contact at the knuckle zone, press the panel firmly — a panel that flexes or crackles where it was previously rigid has likely delaminated and should be replaced before the next ride.

Palm girth — measure the circumference around the palm excluding the thumb. If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose the larger.
