LS2 FF813
Forged Carbon Fiber
Full-Face Helmet

Forged Carbon Fiber Shell · Thickened EPS · Pinlock 70 · 4-Zone Ventilation · Fish-Scale Lining · M–4XL

Built for riders who demand the weight advantage of carbon fiber without the woven-composite price — the LS2 FF813 uses a forged carbon fiber shell for a high-rigidity, lightweight construction, paired with a thickened high-density EPS buffer layer, Pinlock 70 imported anti-fog insert, fish-scale moisture-wicking lining with memory foam cheek pads, 4-zone ventilation, an aerodynamic diversion tail spoiler, quick-release visor, Bluetooth headset interface, and double D-ring retention. 3C certified, 1550g±50g.

Shell & Feature Performance
Forged Carbon Fiber
Forged carbon fiber uses randomly oriented chopped carbon strands compressed under high pressure — unlike woven carbon, the random fibre direction provides isotropic strength (equal in all directions) and allows complex 3D shapes to be formed without seams or joins at curvature points
🧱
Thickened EPS Layer
FF813 uses a thicker EPS liner compared to the FF801 — greater thickness increases the crush distance available for energy absorption, spreading the deceleration event over a longer time window and reducing the peak force transmitted to the skull
🪟
Pinlock 70 Anti-Fog
Pinlock 70 insert pins to the inside of the main visor and creates a sealed still-air gap between the two surfaces — the trapped air layer equalises the temperature differential that causes condensation, preventing fogging without applying any coating that scratches or degrades
🧤
Fish-Scale Lining
Fish-scale fabric structure uses overlapping micro-panels at each stitch point — the geometry creates capillary channels that draw sweat laterally across the lining surface and away from direct skin contact, accelerating evaporation across a wider area than flat fabric
🌬️
Longitudinal Air Duct
FF813's longitudinal cross air duct runs front-to-back along the crown — the extended duct path concentrates airflow volume along a single channel rather than diffusing it across multiple short paths, maintaining airflow pressure deep into the helmet at lower riding speeds
🔒
Double D-Ring
Double D-ring retention threads the strap through two D-rings and locks under load — the friction created by the strap passing through both rings increases with pull force, meaning a harder impact tightens the retention rather than allowing the buckle to release under the loading that causes helmet ejection
Key Highlights
No. 1
Diversion Tail Aerodynamics
The large streamlined tail spoiler diverts air backward and away from the helmet crown — at high speed, an unspoilered helmet creates a low-pressure zone behind the crown that generates lift-like force pulling the helmet rearward. The diversion tail reduces this to lower head-sway and wind noise.
No. 2
Quick-Release Visor
Tool-free visor release allows the lens to be swapped without levers, coins, or removing the helmet — riders carrying a tinted and a clear visor can change between them in seconds at a stop, rather than needing to return to a toolkit or workshop.
No. 3
Bluetooth Interface Cavity
The FF813 is pre-cut with a cavity and routing channels for a Bluetooth headset unit — the interface accommodates a compatible intercom unit without needing to modify the helmet. The Bluetooth device itself is not included; the interface means no cutting or glueing is required at installation.
No. 4
4-Zone Ventilation
Mouth vent, overhead vent, side vent, and rear exhaust vent cover all four primary heat zones — each zone handles a different airflow function: mouth brings fresh air to the face, overhead feeds the crown air duct, side vents regulate cheek temperature, and rear exhausts the accumulated heat.
No. 5
Removable Washable Lining
Fish-scale lining and cheek pads detach completely from the helmet interior — regular commuters should wash every 2–3 weeks to prevent bacterial growth in the memory foam and flannel layers that absorbs sweat directly. The lining returns to its original position each time via the attachment points.
No. 6
FF813 vs FF801 Geometry
FF813 replaces FF801's rearward-inclined spoiler with a more aggressively backward-draining profile and adds linear facial lines on both sides — the result is lower measured frontal wind resistance and a more angular side silhouette compared to the FF801's rounded shell profile.
Helmet Construction Detail
01
Forged CF Shell Moulding
Forged carbon is compression-moulded as a single piece — the chopped fibre and resin mixture fills the helmet mould completely under pressure, eliminating the layering seams that woven carbon layup requires and producing a uniform wall thickness throughout the shell.
02
EPS Crown Air Duct
Beltloop buckles embedded in the EPS crown panel align the lining attachment — the buckle positions also define where the longitudinal air duct channels run through the EPS, ensuring the duct geometry is held accurately against the liner when the padding is reinstalled after washing.
03
Memory Foam Cheek Pads
Cheek pads use decorated filled memory foam with a flannel backing layer — memory foam conforms to the individual face shape over time, while flannel on the pad back prevents the foam from abrading the EPS lining it rests against during repeated insertion and removal.
04
Detachable Chin Net
Separate chin net clips at the chin bar interior independently from the main lining — allows the chin net to be removed and washed on a more frequent schedule than the crown lining, since the chin area accumulates breath condensation and sweat at a higher rate.
05
Reflective Module
Reflective material is integrated into the lining at specific positions visible through the helmet aperture — returns light from an external source back toward the observer when the visor is open, adding conspicuity at stops and intersections where the open visor exposes the interior.
06
Punching Breathable Layer
Perforated zones in the lining fabric align with the vent openings in the EPS and shell — the punched apertures allow air entering through the shell vents to pass through the padding layer directly to the scalp surface rather than being blocked by a solid fabric layer.

  • Measure three times — hair and measurement point both matter: Pass a tape measure above the brow bone and around the occiput (the prominent point at the back of the skull). Include hair in the measurement. Take three readings and use the average — manual tape errors of ±1cm are common in a single reading, and helmet fit inside 1cm of a boundary makes the difference between a correct fit and a loose one.
  • Wide or narrow face adjusts the target circumference: If you have a wide face, add 1cm to your measured circumference before looking up the size chart. If you have a narrow face, subtract 1cm. This accounts for the fact that helmet internal volume is shaped to accommodate both circumference and face width, which don't always correlate.
  • 3C certification is China-specific — not DOT or ECE: 3C (China Compulsory Certification) meets Chinese mandatory safety standards. It does not satisfy DOT (US), ECE 22.06 (Europe), or AS/NZS 1698 (Australia/New Zealand) requirements. Riders outside China should confirm whether 3C is accepted in their jurisdiction before riding on public roads.
  • 1550g is meaningfully lighter than ABS full-face helmets: Most ABS full-face helmets at equivalent size run 1,600–1,900g. At 1,550g±50g, the FF813's forged carbon shell saves 100–350g — a reduction that compounds significantly over multi-hour touring days where neck muscle fatigue from sustained helmet weight affects rider concentration.
