Helmet

Dual Visor · Flip-Up Modular · DOT + 3C Certified · Reflective · Quick-Release · Removable Lining

Built for touring and commuting riders who need a single helmet that adapts to changing conditions — the FF900 pairs a lightweight ABS and KPA shell with a dual visor system, glove-friendly flip-up chin bar, DOT and 3C certified impact protection, retroreflective safety elements, quick-release fastening, and a removable washable cotton inner lining.

Shell & Feature Performance
🪖
ABS + KPA Shell
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) provides rigid impact resistance at low weight. KPA reinforcement adds structural compliance — absorbing deformation energy that pure ABS would transmit directly to the EPS liner. The combined shell is lighter than fibreglass at equivalent impact performance.
👁️
Dual Visor System
The outer clear visor handles wind and debris protection while an integrated internal sun visor deploys independently via a lever — eliminating the need to stop, remove the helmet, and swap lenses when light conditions change mid-ride. Anti-scratch treatment on both surfaces extends optical clarity over time.
🔓
Flip-Up Chin Bar
The chin bar pivots upward as a single unit, opening the full face without removing the helmet — allows brief communication, toll payment, and visor clearing with gloves on. The locking mechanism prevents accidental deployment during riding.
Quick-Release Fastening
Micrometric or D-ring quick-release system allows single-hand operation without threading the strap — relevant for gloved riders and those removing the helmet frequently during touring stops. Provides the same retention security as traditional D-ring when properly fastened.
🏅
DOT + 3C Certification
DOT (US Department of Transportation) specifies minimum impact attenuation, penetration resistance, and retention system performance. 3C (China Compulsory Certification) requires independent laboratory testing before market entry. Dual certification confirms the helmet meets two independent national safety frameworks.
🔆
Retroreflective Elements
Retroreflective panels return vehicle headlights directly toward the light source rather than scattering them — at night, this makes the helmet visible to approaching drivers from much greater distances than passive white or coloured surfaces, without requiring batteries or active lighting.
Anti-Fog Lens Installation Guide
A

Remove the lens from the helmet. Place the outer surface facing down on a soft flat surface and wipe the inner surface clean with a lint-free cloth.

B

Open the packaging and remove the anti-fog sheet. Do not touch the transparent rubber ring or the inner face of the sheet with bare hands — skin oils degrade adhesion.

C

Hold the sheet by its side edges with the rubber ring facing down. Flex it into a U-shape, align with the anti-fog clip on the lens, and press into place — ensure the sheet clears the visor rubber strip around the perimeter.

D

Run your thumb along the transparent rubber ring to seat the sheet flush with the lens surface. Work from the centre outward to avoid trapping air pockets.

E

Peel the protective film from the outer surface of the installed anti-fog sheet, then refit the lens assembly onto the helmet.

The inner surface of the transparent rubber ring cannot be wiped or cleaned — handle only by the edges during installation and storage.

Key Highlights
No. 1
Modular vs Full-Face Trade-Off
A modular helmet is marginally heavier than an equivalent full-face shell due to the chin bar hinge mechanism. The FF900 offsets this with the ABS+KPA shell's weight efficiency — riders who frequently stop, communicate, or change conditions mid-ride gain more from flip-up access than they lose from the weight delta.
No. 2
Internal Sun Visor — No Lens Swap
The integrated sun visor slides down from inside the helmet shell, independent of the outer clear visor. Riders transitioning between tunnels, overcast sections, and bright open road can adjust in seconds without stopping — a practical advantage on long touring routes with variable conditions.
No. 3
Washable Inner Lining
The cotton inner lining detaches fully from the shell — both the cheek pads and crown liner can be machine washed. On touring helmets worn daily, lining hygiene directly affects fit comfort over time; a compressed or soiled liner changes effective head circumference and padding contact.
No. 4
Sizing — Between Sizes
Head circumference ranges overlap at size boundaries (M/L at 55cm, L/XL at 58cm). At these overlaps, the correct size depends on head shape: round heads fit better in the smaller size, oval heads often benefit from the larger. A correctly fitted helmet should feel firm without pressure points and sit level on the forehead.
No. 5
Anti-Fog Sheet Longevity
The anti-fog sheet works via a sealed air gap between itself and the outer lens — condensation forms on the sheet's outer surface rather than the rider's field of view. Sheet life depends on edge seal integrity; if the rubber ring lifts at any point, moisture enters and performance drops. Handle only by the edges during any removal or reinstallation.
No. 6
Commuting vs Touring Use
For commuting, the flip-up chin bar and quick-release fastening reduce helmet-on and helmet-off time at every stop. For touring, the dual visor and reflective panels address the two primary long-ride variables — changing light conditions and reduced night visibility — without requiring helmet accessories or supplementary gear.
Construction Zone Detail
01
Outer Shell
ABS+KPA composite — ABS provides the rigid outer impact shell; KPA layers add controlled deformation zones that manage energy distribution across the EPS liner beneath. The two materials are co-moulded rather than laminated, eliminating delamination risk at the shell boundary.
02
Chin Bar Hinge
The hinge mechanism locks the chin bar in both closed and open positions — fully closed for riding (full-face protection), fully open for ventilation and access. Partial-position locking is not supported; the chin bar must be fully secured before riding.
03
Outer Clear Visor
Anti-scratch treated polycarbonate outer lens with quick-release tab mechanism — the lens can be removed without tools for cleaning or replacement. The quick-release point is located at the pivot on one side; follow the lens swap sequence to avoid stressing the seal channel.
04
Internal Sun Visor
Tinted drop-down visor housed inside the shell crown, operated by a lever at the left side of the helmet. Does not affect the outer visor position — both visors operate independently. UV-absorbing tint reduces eye fatigue during sustained exposure to direct sunlight without distorting colour perception at road level.
05
Retention System
Quick-release chin strap fastening — confirmed secure when the buckle clicks and the strap passes the two-finger gap test (two fingers between strap and chin, no more). A loose strap allows the helmet to rotate forward under impact, reducing crown protection at the moment it is most needed.
06
Inner Lining System
Removable cotton cheek pads and crown liner — each section detaches via press-stud or Velcro anchors. Machine wash cold, air dry only; tumble drying degrades the cotton's loft and dimensional accuracy, which changes effective internal fit after reinstallation.

  • Measure head circumference, not hat size: Use a flexible tape measure at the widest point — approximately 2.5cm above the eyebrows, above the ears, and around the back of the skull. Take three measurements and use the largest. Hat sizes vary significantly by brand and should not be used to select motorcycle helmet sizing.
  • New helmet fit feels firm — this is correct: A correctly sized helmet will feel snug and slightly firm when new. EPS and lining materials compress to the rider's head shape over the first 15–20 hours of use. A helmet that feels comfortable immediately is typically one size too large and will loosen further with wear.
  • Replace after any significant impact: EPS liner damage is invisible externally — ABS+KPA shells can absorb an impact without visible cracking while the interior foam is fully deformed and no longer protective. The 3-month warranty covers manufacturing defects, not impact damage; replace after any crash regardless of visible damage.
  • Chin bar must be fully locked before riding: The flip-up mechanism locks in both the open and closed positions. Confirm the chin bar is in the fully closed and locked position before every ride — a partially latched chin bar can deploy under wind load at speed, exposing the lower face at the moment of any forward impact.

* Measure at the widest point of the skull — above the eyebrows, over the ears, around the back. If your measurement falls at a size boundary, consider head shape: rounder heads fit the smaller size, more oval heads often suit the larger. When in doubt, size up.
