LS2 FF906
Flip-Up Modular
Motorcycle Helmet

180° Rear Backflip · HD Double Lens · Pinlock Max Anti-Fog · Dynamic Ventilation · Emergency Release · 3C Certified

The FF906 uses a 180° rear backflip mechanism — the chin bar pivots backward, keeping the centre of gravity closer to the helmet shell and eliminating the wobble inherent in conventional forward-flipping designs. A 3D optically corrected Class 1 PC dual-lens system, Pinlock Max anti-fog card compatibility, multi-zone switchable ventilation, emergency lining release, and a hypoallergenic 3D lining with Bluetooth earphone slot complete the feature set across sizes M to 3XL.

Shell & Feature Performance
🔄
180° Rear Backflip Mechanism
The chin bar rotates 180° rearward rather than forward — when flipped, the visor assembly rests behind the crown. Because the visor mass moves toward the helmet's centre of gravity rather than away from it, the helmet sits more stably on the head in open mode and is less prone to wind-induced wobble at speed than a conventional 90° forward-flip design.
🔭
HD Class 1 PC Dual Lens
The outer clear visor is manufactured from 3D optically corrected Class 1 polycarbonate — Class 1 specifies the highest optical clarity standard, with minimal prismatic deviation and no refractive distortion. An inner tinted sun visor operates independently via a left-side lever, allowing tint adjustment without stopping or touching the outer visor seal.
❄️
Pinlock Max Anti-Fog Card
Pinlock Max uses multi-layer composite plastic resin that absorbs moisture molecules, preventing condensation from forming on the lens surface. A hollow air layer between the Pinlock card and the outer visor reduces the temperature differential between inner and outer surfaces — the mechanism that causes fogging. Unlike anti-fog film applied to the lens surface, the card is a separate component with a long service life.
💨
Dynamic Ventilation System
The aerodynamic shell integrates a top intake vent, a chin vent with two independent switches, and a rear exhaust outlet. The push-forward/push-back vent mechanism keeps airflow actively circulating through the helmet interior when open. The streamlined form gives the shell low wind resistance and reduces aerodynamic noise at touring speeds.
🪖
KPA Shell + Multi-Density EPS
The KPA composite outer shell provides impact resistance with low weight, puncture resistance, and material flexibility — properties that pure ABS lacks. The interior uses multi-density EPS: harder zones at high-energy impact points, softer zones at the crown and temples where the EPS must distribute rather than concentrate force. Guided EPS channels direct deformation energy away from the skull surface.
🚨
Emergency Release System
PULL tabs on both sides of the lining allow emergency responders to remove the cheek pads and free the rider's head without rotating or lifting the helmet — critical when spinal injury is suspected. The system is activated by pulling both tabs simultaneously, releasing the lining sections without requiring tool access or helmet manipulation.
Pinlock Anti-Fog Card Installation Guide
A

Remove the lens from the helmet. Place the outer surface facing down on a soft flat surface and wipe the inner surface clean with a lint-free cloth.

B

Open the packaging and remove the Pinlock card. Do not touch the transparent rubber ring or the inner face of the card — skin oils degrade the seal and reduce anti-fog effectiveness.

C

Hold the card by its side edges with the rubber ring facing down. Flex into a U-shape, align with the Pinlock pins on the lens, and press into place. Confirm the card clears the visor rubber strip around the perimeter to avoid seal interference when opening and closing the visor.

D

Run your thumb along the transparent rubber ring to seat the card flush against the lens surface. Work from the centre outward to eliminate air pockets between the card and lens.

E

Peel the protective film from the outer surface of the installed card, then refit the lens assembly onto the helmet and confirm the visor seal seats correctly at all edges.

The inner surface of the transparent rubber ring cannot be wiped or cleaned — handle only by the edges at all times. If the rubber ring lifts from the lens at any point, the hollow air gap is compromised and anti-fog performance drops.

Key Highlights
No. 1
Rear vs Forward Flip — Why It Matters
Conventional 90° forward-flip helmets move the chin bar mass away from the helmet shell's centre — in open mode the helmet tends to rotate forward on the head under wind load at speed, which is why manufacturers typically recommend closing it for highway riding. The FF906's 180° rear flip moves the chin bar behind the crown, tightening the centre of gravity and allowing more stable open-face use at moderate speeds.
No. 2
Pinlock Card vs Anti-Fog Film
Anti-fog film is applied directly to the lens inner surface — it degrades with cleaning, has poor durability, and provides only a surface-level barrier. The Pinlock Max card is a separate component that creates a hollow sealed air gap between itself and the lens. The card's composite resin absorbs ambient moisture before it can condense, and the air gap reduces the temperature differential that causes fogging — making it a structural solution rather than a coating.
No. 3
Hypoallergenic 3D Lining
The red and black fish-scale cloth lining is constructed with skin-friendly, odour-resistant material and 3D tailoring that follows the head contour rather than using flat fabric sections. Bluetooth earphone slots are integrated into the cheek pad moulding — fitting speakers does not require cutting or stretching the lining material. Both cheek pads and crown liner detach fully for machine washing.
No. 4
Laser-Cut Chin Net
A laser-cut chin net sits at the chin bar opening — laser cutting produces clean, sealed edges without the fraying associated with scissor-cut mesh. The chin net blocks insects and road debris from entering the helmet interior at the chin bar gap while maintaining the airflow path from the chin vent into the lower helmet cavity.
No. 5
Metal Safety Buckle + Reinforced Strap
The chin strap uses a metal quick-release safety buckle — metal construction provides high tensile strength that plastic buckles of equivalent size cannot match. The reinforced chin strap distributes strap tension across a wider contact area at the jaw, reducing the localised pressure that causes discomfort during extended wearing on long touring rides.
No. 6
Reflective System — Silver Flash Parts
Silver-grey retroreflective panels are incorporated into the helmet shell at positions visible from rear and side approach angles. The panels return vehicle headlight beams toward the light source rather than scattering them diffusely — making the helmet visible at much greater distances in low-light conditions without requiring battery-powered lighting or after-market adhesive strips.
Construction Zone Detail
01
Secure Lens Base
Cool-appearance rotating bearing design at the visor pivot — the bearing mechanism allows the lens to fit and lock with consistent torque across the full 180° rotation range. A secure lens base prevents the visor from rattling or self-opening under vibration during the backflip and in fully closed position.
02
Top Ventilation Vent
Top-mounted openable and closeable intake vent draws fresh air into the crown area. In combination with the rear exhaust outlet, the top vent creates a longitudinal airflow path through the helmet interior — replacing hot, humid air at the crown where body heat accumulates during sustained riding effort.
03
Chin Vent with Dual Switches
Two independent switches at the chin vent allow partial or full airflow to the lower interior — the chin area is the primary entry point for fresh air directed across the visor inner surface. Chin airflow is particularly effective at reducing visor fogging in cold or wet conditions when the Pinlock card is fitted.
04
Rear Exhaust Outlet
Tail air outlet at the rear of the shell creates negative pressure as the helmet moves forward through air — this draws hot air out from inside the helmet passively without requiring the rider to open vents. Ventilation and breathability are maintained at all times the helmet is in motion, not only when intake vents are open.
05
Internal Lens Switch
The WS (wind shield) switch at the top-left of the helmet shell deploys and retracts the internal tinted visor independently of the outer clear lens. The switch is accessible with a gloved hand without releasing grip on the handlebar — riders can adjust sun visor position reactively as light conditions change rather than planning transitions in advance.
06
EPS Buffer Layer
High-density EPS provides 3D impact absorption — CCC safety certified, confirming the EPS meets the China Compulsory Certification standard for energy absorption at defined impact velocities. The 3D curved EPS design follows the inner shell contour to maintain uniform thickness across all impact zones rather than thinning at curves.

  • Measure head circumference — not hat size or helmet size from another brand: Use a flexible tape at the widest point — 2–3cm above the eyebrows, over the ears, around the rear skull. Take three measurements and use the largest. The FF906 size chart uses Asian head circumference references; if between sizes, choose the larger — the 3D lining compresses to fit over the first 15–20 hours of use.
  • Close and lock the chin bar before high-speed riding: The 180° rear backflip is more stable in open mode than a forward-flip design, but LS2 recommends closing the face shield for high-speed cycling. Confirm the chin bar locks fully before any highway riding — a partially latched bar can release under sustained wind load, exposing the lower face at the moment of any forward impact.
  • Replace after any significant impact — EPS damage is invisible: The multi-density EPS absorbs impact energy through cellular deformation that leaves no external mark on the KPA shell. At 1590g the helmet is light, but the EPS liner is the primary protection component — any direct crown, front, or side impact at crash velocity deforms the EPS permanently, reducing subsequent protection to zero regardless of outer shell appearance.
  • Pinlock card maintenance — handle the rubber ring by edges only: Once installed, the Pinlock card should not be removed for cleaning unless it has been contaminated. The inner surface of the rubber ring seal cannot be wiped — any contact with cleaning cloth or fingertips leaves residue that breaks the seal, allowing moisture into the hollow air gap and eliminating the anti-fog effect. If the card fogs, check the rubber ring seating first before replacing the card.
