A mid-calf motorcycle boot built around four practical priorities: PU leather for weather resistance and long-term durability without the conditioning requirements of genuine leather; a rubber anti-slip outsole with shock-absorbing midsole for grip and vibration management at the contact point between rider and road; ankle-height construction for lower-leg protection beyond what a low-cut shoe provides; and a side zip for rapid entry and exit without unlacing. Unisex sizing from EU 38 to EU 45 in a positive/true size — size 40 here equals standard leather shoe size 40, not sports shoe size 40.
- True/Positive Sizing — not sports shoe sizing: These boots use leather shoe sizing. Size 40 here equals standard leather shoe size 40, which is equivalent to sports shoe size 41. If you normally buy sports trainers in size 40, order size 39 in this boot. Measure your foot length and use the size chart's cm column to confirm the correct size before ordering.
- PU Leather — low maintenance vs genuine leather: PU leather resists water and road grime without conditioning — wipe clean with a damp cloth. It does not dry out, crack, or require leather conditioner. Unlike genuine leather, PU leather is not repairable if it peels or delaminate at the seams; inspect the seam edges at the toe cap and ankle annually for early separation, as peeling progresses quickly once it starts.
- Side ZIP — confirm gloved operation before first ride: The side zip allows entry and exit without unlacing. Before relying on it, test the zip pull with riding gloves on — confirm the pull tab is large enough to grip through the glove material. If the pull tab is too narrow for gloved use, a zip pull extender (a key ring or small carabiner) threaded through the existing tab significantly improves gloved grip.
- Ankle height — protection scope and limitation: The mid-calf ankle height covers the malleolus (ankle bone) and the lower shin, protecting these zones from lateral impact and abrasion. It does not cover the mid-shin or calf. For riding applications where higher coverage is required — track use, off-road, or high-abrasion surfaces — a taller boot is the appropriate choice. For urban commuting, touring, and everyday road riding, the ankle height provides meaningful protection at the most commonly impacted zones.
- Certification status — confirm before purchase if CE is required: No CE certification (EN 13634 motorcycle boot standard) is listed for these boots. They provide practical protection through PU construction, ankle height, and rubber sole, but without independent test certification for impact and abrasion resistance at specific energy levels.
